Another year and season wasted with no championship. Never happening on this campus with this coach. D3 will be a huge joke and wake up call coach vin can’t handle

So he wins his 100th game….big freakin deal…at what cost to past players and probably current. What a shit show that place is. He won only because the kids did well. No credit to him ..trust me

The baseball team is one of the few teams on our campus without a conference championship, despite having more than enough talent to win many years. I feel like I wasted the last four years of my career coming to this school. If you were smart and you don’t want your passion and love of baseball to be ruined, I would stay as far away from this school and coach as possible.

This guy has no business coaching …..if his wife was not the AD he would never be a college coach. Not even at a small little campus like BW. It is just sad that the guys who are playing their hearts out, are doing so on empty promises, and pathetic coaching.

Vinny Gallo is a dumb coach who really doesn’t care about his players. He cares about himself that’s it. Everything is about him. Stay away from this school boys. I am telling you this from experience. I graduated a few years ago and it looks like things only got worse. I hope other coaches are reading this so everyone knows how bad Vinny Gallo really is. Do not waste your money and life on this coach and staff. Do not trust this coach and staff. Baseball IQ of a 4th grader. Vin Gallo comes off as a nice guy but is terrible person who only cares about himself. This program will never help you become a better player and person. It does the opposite. I wish you luck if you play here. You will need it.

Coach Gallo does not mean well at all. He is a double crosser and dishonest man. If you think or say otherwise you are ignorant and being fooled by him.

Coach gallo means well he really does, but that doesn’t necessarily get the job done at the end of the day. He preaches the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results which is exactly what he does. Resources for the program are limited, there are a lot of factors that go into regarding sharing fields and facilities with other sports, weather, and financial constraints. Other reviews saying that they feel they can’t go to the athletic department about anything isn’t wrong. With the athletic director being his wife, there is a little hesitation on going to her with your concerns because you may feel it affect playing time. Other coaches on the staff shouldn’t be there. 95% they aren’t even at practices and when they are there they don’t do anything besides stand there. When our “hitting coach” doesn’t help any players better themselves. I’d consider 3-4 guys who were on the team hitting coaches before him. The pitching coach did a phenomenal job with the pitchers and it showed with our pitchers. A lot of them took the jump to get better and he was a big part of helping them get there. Brandywine baseball is a good team that needs to get out of the loop the program is in.

My teammates just told me to go on this site and read what people are saying about coach vin and my team. I have played here for two years, and I am finally so happy people are speaking up about this coach. Vincent Gallo is a horrible person and coach. He will lie to your face and blames everything on his players when all the problems are his fault. You cannot approach him and talk, and if you do, he gets very angry. We never practice and when we do its drills from a youtube video that he just watched because he doesn't know anything about baseball and has to learn that way. Then, when things go wrong or gets hard, it's your fault. I hate this team and this coach and will not be returning to this nightmare. Thanks for nothing Vin you are such a bad coach and really, really awful person. Please do not believe anyone who tries to say otherwise. I have nothing to lose and just wanted to speak my mind and hopefully help someone thinking of playing here.

I have just completed my first season with Penn State Brandywine and want to tell all potential future players to find another team to play for. The way this coach and staff treat you is the worst experience I have had playing the game I love. If you want to lose your love for baseball, sign up with coach Vin and this team. Good Luck. Maybe coach, if we actually practiced and you and your "coaching" staff actually did anything, we would win. The only way you should play here is if the coaching staff and his wife who is the athletic director, steps down. These comments are 100% true so when you read the staffs responses, just laugh them off because they are liars and have no other response. I am personally going to share these complaints with all Penn State administrators. So, staff, if I were you, I'd just shut up and read what's being said and deal with it. You all deserve it all. I will not be returning to this program. Cutting my losses and playing elsewhere. This program SUCKS!

It's so ironic that after being on Vin Gallo's team for 3 years, this is the only way we can communicate. We can only talk on the rate my coach website. That is so pathetic "coach." Vin, being that you are reading this, you are a horrible person, forget being a bad coach, you are a sad and angry person who takes out his own problems on his team. You are pathetic. QUIT COACHING VIN, YOU ARE SO SAD AND DEMORALIZING! All the freshman players also hate you so it's not a senior problem. It is a YOU problem.

Honestly these reviews are made from stuck up seniors that thought they deserved and were entitled to a spot on the field. Their parents just as entitled. The spots on this team aren’t handed out and are earned. Hence why they are extremely upset about the “coaching decisions” that have been made. I made the decision to come here because I saw a coach that cared about me as a person. He is a man of faith and will treat any of his players like they are their son. He is determined at getting better as a coach and always gives 110 percent to the players. He works just as hard as the players on finding ways to improve the team. Assistant coaches need some work besides our pitching coach is very knowledgeable. I have completely enjoyed my time. Covid made it hard but I’m excited for the years to come under Vinny Gallo.

Coach Gallo is hands down the worst coach I have ever had. I have never felt so tormented by a coach in my entire life playing this game. He is more concerned over us liking him as a person than he is with mentoring us, which, trust me, we can’t stand him. He makes awful decisions on the field which constantly lead us to losing games that we shouldn’t even be losing. Hence the 0 winning seasons under Coach Gallo. Oh and the other coaches are just as bad- absolutely zero baseball IQ going on here. The best practice we had this season was when the coaches were out and the captains ran the practice. It was the most fun and actually successful practice we have had. Nobody gets better on this team because nobody supports you other than each other. Coach Gallo makes us question our love for the game and makes us question if we’re even good enough to be playing. Thats how he makes us feel every single day playing on his team. There is no support system at this school. We can’t express these concerns to anyone. The AD is Coachs wife, and the whole athletic department is twisted and backs each other. The mental games that go on on this team is crazy and is brought on by the people who should have our backs- every single one of them. That includes Vinny Gallo, his wife the AD Bobbi Gallo, and the entire athletic department. When I was first approached by Coach Gallo I was so excited. However, looking back, I can easily say that he straight up lied to my face the entire time. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. He is a liar, he is manipulative, and he will make you question EVERYTHING even though he knows NOTHING. It is not worth the mental torture. He is way more concerned with collecting his paycheck than he is our wellbeing and growth as players- he’s just trying to reach his wifes quota by getting way too many guys on his team only to ride the bench the whole season.

As a past alumni, reading these comments I can definitely say they are spot on. Nobody was ever happy around Coach Gallo, some just taught themselves to deal with him better than others. We pulled together as teammates to keep eachother going. The entire Athletic Dept sucks and isn’t there for the baseball team being that the AD is the coach wife so yeah that’s a dead end can’t go to her to voice concerns. Definitely a broken system where they do less than they have to. None of the alumni go back or help coach or support because it’s a depressing situation we don’t return to. Many players come and go. No retention of players or coaches. Still speak to current team all season to support them but sadly sounds like the cycle of misery continues. Sucks too cause it’s always a great group of guys but no coaching, leadership or commradere.

Vinny Gallo is the worst coach I have ever had. There is no communication between him and his other coaches and his players. His baseball IQ is in the negatives and has the temperament of a 6 year old. Little league coaches have a higher baseball IQ and have a better understanding on how to manage and develop their players than coach Gallo. The weight lifting program is almost non existent and the majority of high schools have a better lifting program. The majority of practices feel like a colossal waste of time that clearly don't yield positive results. Players aren't respected yet he demands to be respected.
