I did not have a pleasant experience. No matter how well I played, I never felt good enough. There was always anger and disappointment. Never any encouragement. She had favorites that she treated so much better. It was really hurtful.

My recruiting visit was not an accurate representation of what my 4 years would look like as a Women’s Golfer at FGCU. After committing and attending FGCU to play under Coach Trew I soon realized that everything she had told me while I was being recruited we’re just empty promises. She claimed to be very accommodating and that workouts and practices would be individualized, however that was not the case. All of her workouts and practices are very cookie cutter and she doesn’t allow you to have any input. She has a very close minded teaching mentality “it’s my way or the highway”. Every year I was hopeful things would get better and that I would improve as a person and golfer. However, that didn’t ever happen and I don’t feel like anyone could leave that program as a better golfer and person due to the coaching styles of Sarah Trew.
