IQ - She’s a former college player, but a very confusing coach. When recruiting she comes across professional and articulate, but she’s not good during games. She’s not instructional nor is she good at in game adjustments. Ethical -No to very questionable. She doesn’t hold her players to any of the standards - not the school’s, the PACWEST’s or ncaa. She’s had ncaa infractions on her team, I’ve seen several investigations and cover ups of other infractions. This is known by many who play d2 in Hawaii, as some things were caught on social media. In terms of player relationship, she’s not that loyal to established hard working players, she has repeatedly recruited fifth year seniors that have failed in D1 then benched established players in their final seasons only to have the 5th year new players fail to produce at any level higher than the established players who have paid their dues for years. No rules broken here, but unfair and brings mistrust. Communication - She doesn’t have understanding of how to implement basic fundamentals, I.e building from the back, transitional play, finishing, set pieces, starts and restarts. She doesn’t understand or teach concepts that connect nor does she understand how to use personnel effectively. I guess that’s why she’s never had a winning record. Anyone can look at the stat sheets during her time as a coach. Staff- Her staff are really nice people, but not special as coaches. Coach Connor is really quiet and introverted and they have a strange relationship like they’re a couple, but trying really hard to act like they’re not. It’s a little weird. Player/individual development- Another weak area. I don’t think she’s ever had success or even experience at lower levels. We don’t have a system of play, we just play differ formations. When in doubt she just plays the fastest players and plays kick and run. Academics- We have lots of good students. Coach seems very supportive there, it does make the program and the school look good. Why wouldn’t she be supportive there. I wish I had a more encouraging rating.
