I ran for KP from Fall 2017 through when he was fired from Point Park in Spring 2019. He gave me a small scholarship to run since I was a last-minute sign-on, but promised that there was the possibility for an increase in scholarship funds next season. That never happened. In fact, I came to learn from an assistant coach that what you sign in on is what you get the rest of your athletic career, so KP lied (he must have known this was a lie, as he started coaching at PPU in 2014.) While I acknowledge he tried creating a friendly and social environment for athletes, commuter students often were left out of after-hours events like ballgames and team dinners and only found out about it after the fact because he would post about them each time on social media with very little to no announcement beforehand. His assistant coaches often were better than him, offering advice even if they didn't coach your event. KP just was... there.

Terrible coach who killed my love of running. He promised that the athletic scholarships we received upon signing on would increase the next academic year. I soon found out he lied through his teeth. He only really would push you if you were a star athlete and didn't pay much attention to you otherwise. God help you if you run for him.

By far the worst coach I have ever ran for. He recruited me with a small scholarship, saying the amount could be raised next year. It couldn't, the school does not allow that. He also constantly accused players who showed up late or that we're tired of being drunk or high. I was a commuter and never knew about team bonding events until after they happened when he posted about them on social media. As far as coaching goes, you better be one of the fast runners if you want any chance of having a workout that is designed to help you. This man is the reason why I don't run anymore.
